In Person Classes
Creative Coping
Being creative can be fun AND helpful. Learn how to use both the process of creating, and the product that’s created to help cope and regulate emotions. Each week students will learn a new creative coping skill that they can add to their very own toolbox. This toolbox will be theirs to take home and use anytime they're feeling big emotions and need some help to find calm. Classes will be led by an Art Therapist. Tuition includes all supplies.
Art as Therapy
Led by an art therapist, the art as therapy studio is an art group for individuals looking for a space where they can make art for self-expression, relaxation, and personal growth. A judgement free zone where group members can feel safe and supported while they express their emotions and thoughts visually using the materials of their choice. Each week use the space and materials as you need and chose to share or not share your art. If you’re looking for connection and reflection… this one is for you! Tuition includes all supplies.
Keep Calm & Be Creative!
“Keep Calm and Be Creative” will combine the therapeutic expertise of Dr Stephanie from Samaritan Counseling Center with the artistic expertise of Carmella from Kaleidoscope School of Fine Art. Students can expect a discussion on the topic of the day with Dr Stephanie to start the class, followed by a related art project with Carmella. The class will end with a reflection on the topic of the day and the student’s artwork.
